The town of Sozopol is located on a smaill peninsular 35 km south from Bourgas. It was founded more than 3000 years ago Greek sailors from the ancient town of miller durving the epoch of the Greek colonization, thus being one of the oldest towns along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantian culture had left a mark here.
The tourists call Sozopol "the town of sailors and artists". Its picturesque atmosphere leaves beautiful memories for narrow, cobblestone streets, old wooden houses with high broad bay-windows, golden sand beaches, fisherman boats...
